The Gallery’s education program offers opportunities for students, teachers and lecturers to engage with the ‘Picasso & his collection’ exhibition. An online education resource kit produced in conjunction with the exhibition is available for educators to use in the classroom as pre- or post-visit activities.
Events and workshops held as part of the Look Out teacher program will enable teachers to explore a variety of ideas extending from the ideas and artists featured in ‘Picasso & his collection’ to meet curriculum objectives.
Please note that some sessions are held prior to the Talking about modern art series, which teachers are welcome to attend.

‘Picasso & his collection’ education resource kit
This online teacher resource introduces modern art, and discusses some of the major themes and artists presented in the exhibition. Suitable for early years, primary and secondary teachers.
The resource includes information about visiting ’Picasso & his collection’, curriculum links, tour suggestions and in-gallery worksheets, classroom activities and an exhibition webography.

Bookings are essential for groups of 10 or more. To book a group visit, please email or call the Education Bookings Officer on (07) 3840 7255 between 8.30am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively, submit your booking enquiry on-line.
To assist you in planning your visit, please read Guidelines for Visitors or download the School Group Visits brochure. Upon arrival at the Gallery, please send one adult representative from your school group to check-in at the Booked Groups Desk in the main foyer.
To help us ensure that your visit to ‘Picasso & his collection’ is a rewarding one, we ask that groups of 10 or more provide at least 72 hours notice of their visit. Guided tours for special interest adult groups of 10 or more are also available.Please note that an admission fee applies to the 'Picasso & his collection' exhibition.
