Indigenous Australian artists have made innovative forays into photography and printmaking in recent years. Urban-based artists have used photography with great invention to explore their histories and social experience. In remote communities artists have explored the potential of printmaking, as a widely accessible medium, to reach new audiences for their art. This display of work indicates the exciting breadth of this recent development in contemporary Australian art.
