Dadang Christanto: For those who have been killed

22 November 2003 - 22 February 2004
Collection display
Gallery 3

Indonesian artist Dadang Christanto's work expresses his views on social problems such as violence, oppression, poverty and injustice. From 22 November, two major works by this artist from the Gallery's Collection will be on display. Acquired following their inclusion in the First Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art in 1993, the two works For those who are poor . . . and For those who have been killed . . . convey a powerful, humanistic empathy for voiceless victims throughout history.
