'Lost and Found'

'Lost and Found' featured major works from the Gallery's Collection.

Lost and Found

8 November 2003 - 26 January 2004
Gallery 4, Queensland Art Gallery

Arty the gnome led kids through the show, where they were prompted to think about why artists chose ordinary objects and materials and transformed them into art work.

'Lost and Found' featured major works from the Gallery's Collection, including sculpture, collage, installation, video, jewellery, painting and photography. It incorporated a number of innovative displays arranged according to the types of found objects used, such as clothing, food, souvenirs, natural objects and road signs.

A 'Lost and Found' activity booklet, a unique studio for kids designed by local artist Madonna Staunton, and special workshops encouraged young visitors to engage with the art works.
