
The Australian Centre of Asia Pacific Art (ACAPA) is the research arm of the Queensland Art Gallery's Asian and Pacific activities. Established in September 2002, ACAPA is part of the Gallery's Asian, Pacific and International Art Department.
Since initiating the 'Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art' (APT) series of exhibitions in 1993, the Gallery has become a leader in collecting and presenting contemporary art of the region. The Centre extends and builds on this commitment and underpins the Gallery's Asian and Pacific programs.
The Centre's objectives are:
ACAPA is an initiative of the Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA). The ACAPA office is located on level 3 of GoMA, near the Research Library with its extensive collection of Asian and Pacific resources.
