Collection Appeal — Help to build our Collection
The Queensland Art Gallery Foundation was established to develop the Collection for the Queensland Art Gallery’s new home at South Bank which opened in 1982. At that time, supporters with foresight gave to the Gallery to create a Collection enjoyed with so much pleasure today. Twenty-five years later, the Queensland Art Gallery has an excellent reputation nationally and internationally. With the opening of the Gallery of Modern Art, the Gallery has increased its profile and its potential.
To celebrate our expansion to two sites, we have launched the Collection Appeal. Please support the Gallery and join the Foundation by making a tax-deductible donation to the Collection Appeal. All funds will be used to acquire art works for the Collection.
With as little as $1000, which may be paid over five years in instalments of $200, you can enjoy the advantages of individual Foundation membership. Members enjoy an exclusive association with the Gallery through a program of special events, and they receive Artlines, the Gallery's award-winning magazine. Both the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art buildings have Members Lounges for the use of members when visiting the Gallery. All Foundation members are formally acknowledged in the Foundation Annual Report.
Foundation members have long played a vital role in the life of the Gallery. Numerous works throughout both buildings bear the attestation ‘Queensland Art Gallery Foundation’ on their labels; positive proof of what your tax-deductible donation can do for the Gallery and the community. You can make an effective contribution to this appeal by choosing which of the Gallery’s collecting areas you would like to support.
Your donation will help achieve our aim of an outstanding Collection to provide engaging and pleasurable experiences for Gallery visitors, now and into the future. Please help to build our Collection.
